Matt Ballou

Chief Visionary Officer

Matt has worked in restoration since 2009, leading both operations and field teams across the Pacific Northwest. He launched Biodynamic’s Portland branch in 2010 and continues to oversee projects throughout Oregon and Washington.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University, where he met his wife, Cherise, in 2001, which is still the best decision of his career! When he’s not on site or in the office, you’ll find him coaching his eight and 11 year old’s basketball teams’ or fly fishing in Central Oregon or Montana.

Julie Elyse Battan

President & CEO
Julie leads Biodynamic’s growth and operational strategy, focusing on innovation, service quality, and expanding regional partnerships across Oregon and Washington. Her leadership centers on building strong teams, transparent communication, and measurable outcomes for every client.
When not working, Julie devotes her time to reading and writing, advancing her studies in oil painting, and enjoying the company of her husband and son. She is an active community volunteer involved in her church and in statewide bee education and conservation programs.
